#1. Discord DMs:
The more you expand your Discord network, the more fake invites you will receive. Discord DMs can be especially tricky, particularly when someone is impersonating a brand, artist, or NFT influencer. Never click on links no matter how legit they look, or DMs from “friends” asking for money, or “announcements” from NFT projects (always check the group and ask in the group first). If you receive an odd message from someone who you know, make sure it is them by checking their handle first.
#2. Fake Twitter Personas:
Most NFT influencers and brands will at some point have someone impersonate them. Be very careful as the fake profile will replicate the original one word for word. In the example below, if you are not observant enough, you won’t notice that in the bio the only difference is that it says DLCBlogger instead of DCLBlogger.
