Dog food with nothing to hide

Marleybones is using blockchain technology to make better dog food

We know all dog owners, like ourselves, want to do what’s best for their dogs, but simply are drowned in a crowded, misleading and highly marketed pet food industry that isn’t shy of using the words ‘fresh’, ‘natural’ and ‘high quality’, that doesn’t tell you anything about what we are feeding our pets. Sadly, if you look close enough, you will too often spot tons of waste products, fillers and mystery ingredients.

It was one of the founders’ golden, long-eared English cocker spaniel called Marley who was the source of inspiration. However, Marley just wasn’t a foodie and had a very sensitive stomach. In fact, for a long time he didn’t gain weight like he was supposed to, his stools were runny (and pretty stinky to be honest), and he quickly became a regular at the vet. Loads of food tested and tried and nothing was just right for Marley. That was the beginning of Marleybones.

By implementing blockchain technology, Marleybones decided to set their own standard and make sure everyone across our value chain is compliant. You will be able to access the same information about the entire supply chain with full transparency.
